Lakeside

Snow, running downhill, 

Bids farewell to her old friends. 

"I'll be here again!"

 

Tears drop, branch to branch,

Needle to needle and leaves. 

The bark is  quite pleased.

 

Crystal tears slowly

Pull down the heavy fam'ly

To meet destiny.

 

Sheer drapes hang on trees,

Half beaten by fearless breeze.

A strange scenery!

 

Rocks awakening,

Chasing  away the last spots

Of the torn  white coat!

 

Spiky  isles, boulders

Pierced by happy water 

All sing: "That's better!"

 

But further downstream,

Still the happiest of all

Are the daffodils!

 

By the lake and stream,

Pink, green  and yellows all scream

"No snow in the scene!"
